Over the past few days, we’ve seen devastation spread across the Gulf coast of the United States. As a former resident of Houston, Texas, I take this particular tragedy very personally. I’ve seen friends and family post pictures of the aftermath of their homes and communities and it has been nothing short of heartbreaking. As with many of the communities we seek to serve, we know that it will be a long time before Houston and the surrounding areas impacted by Hurricane Harvey will fully recover.
Hope for the Village has partnered with nonprofit organization Haitian Organization of Partners in Education, Inc (H.O.P.E.) and Tabitha Russell of CMP to raise funds and resources that will personally be delivered to the residents of devastated areas in Houston and surrounding areas. Please note that I will personally be traveling to Houston and working on the ground to support the community in recovery. You can have confidence in knowing that your donations will go directly to relief efforts.
